We help you to understand, track and visualize your greenhouse gas emissions
GHG Framework -
Scope 1, 2 and 3
The industry standard to measure and calculate the impact you have as a business on the environment is defined in the GHG Protocol. Our team of experts will use tools and technology to get detailed insights in your environmental impact. The framework defines three scopes of measuring and calculating the GHG emissions.
By breaking down each type of emission per scope we can provide you with valuable insights into where to focus on first. Read our blog to learn more about the protocol and the different scopes in the framework.
-
These are the most visible of your company’s emissions since they are the easiest to measure and track. Scope 1 emissions are those that come directly from sources owned or controlled by the company, such as on-site burning of fuels, company vehicles, or fugitive emissions from leaks in equipment
-
Scope 2 emissions are those that come from electricity purchased by the company for its own use, as well as power used in manufacturing processes. Even though these emissions don’t originate from sources owned or controlled by the company, they still contribute significantly to its overall carbon footprint.
-
In this scope, emissions come from all other activities related to the production of goods or services that are not included in scope 1 or 2 (such as employee commuting or waste disposal). Though these types of activities may seem small compared with direct fuel burning or energy usage in manufacturing processes, collectively they can have a major impact on your business’s total carbon footprint.
Where are you today? What is the footprint of your company? It starts with data and insights. Our hands-on experts will use the right technology and tools, customized to your business. Together, we create a baseline of your GHG emissions. An easy to digest report containing the hot spots and insights that can be easily shared internally and externally.
